About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Mechanic Helper to join our team in Long Island City. If you have a passion for cars, a strong work ethic, and a desire to learn a valuable trade, this is your foot in the door.
You do not need prior professional shop experience — we provide full on-the-job training. You will work side-by-side with experienced mechanics, learning how to diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles safely and efficiently.
What You’ll Do (With Training)
Assist senior mechanics with routine vehicle maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, brake checks).
Help diagnose mechanical issues and learn how to use professional diagnostic equipment.
Prepare shop workstations, organize tools, and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
Fetch parts and manage inventory as needed for ongoing repairs.
Gradually take on more independent repair tasks as your skills develop.
What We Are Looking For
Zero experience required: A genuine interest in automotive repair and a willingness to learn are what matter most.
Reliability: Punctuality and a strong work ethic are essential for our busy shop.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, work in a shop environment, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Tool Requirement: You do not need to own your own tools to start. However, as you grow into the role and progress toward becoming a full mechanic, you will be expected to gradually invest in your own toolset.
