We are seeking an experienced cook to join our team at the Peconic Cafe. As a part
time cook, you’ll play a crucial role in our day to day operation and be
preparing Breakfast and Lunch items to order for our students, faculty, and
staff, here on the Eastern campus. If you’re passionate about food, have
excellent culinary skills, and hold a valid Suffolk County Board of Health Food
Handlers Certificate, we’d love to hear from you!
**Responsibilities:**
- Prepare and cook a variety of items for Breakfast Lunch and Catering
- Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet our high standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to create a seamless dining experience.
- Friendly and attentive
**Qualifications:**
Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or food service setting.
- Valid Suffolk County Board of Health Food Handlers Certificate.
- Knowledge of food safety practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
**Salary:**
$18.00 an hour
Mon-Thu 9am-3pm and Saturday 10am-2pm
