Access Control Generalist

We are an established (9+ years) regional distributor of hydraulic and mechanical gate openers and electronic access control equipment, selling to installing dealers in the Northeast. We are looking for a person prepared to learn and participate in ALL aspects of the business in order to become an integral member of a small, highly efficient team, while receiving on-going product training.

Daily job duties and progressive advancement to different levels of responsibility dependent on performance and training, include, but not confined to:

Shipping/Receiving/Inventory Control; Purchasing procedures; Product training, including system design and trouble-shooting; Customer service, including providing price quotes and converting them into sales orders; Assisting in sales/technical seminars to customers.

Applicant skills/abilities and knowledge required, include:

Excellent computer proficiency; Familiarity with shipping/receiving procedures and software; Fork-lift experience beneficial; Low voltage electrical and/or electronics knowledge extremely helpful; Knowledge of hydraulic or mechanical equipment a plus; Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs

Excellent written/ verbal communication skills required; Ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines; Ability to work as team member and maintaining positive attitude to co-workers while also possessing ability to work independently when required, completing assignments as instructed; Must be able to maintain regular, punctual attendance

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Salary or Hourly Rate

$18.00 an hour as start/trainee
